Canova è lieta di annunciare una nuova collaborazione con VeniSIA per supportare finanziariamente le startup deeptech.

Questa partnership rafforza il network di origination di VeniSIA e la sua capacità di favorire la crescita delle startup deeptech. Grazie al supporto finanziario di Canova e del fondo Nova 1, gli investimenti potranno essere indirizzati su società altamente innovative.

Canova, attraverso Nova 1, punta a generare ritorni finanziari per gli investitori, sostenendo anche le startup del portafoglio e quelle segnalate da VeniSIA. Il supporto si concretizza in diverse iniziative: apertura di sedi R&D, sviluppo commerciale e partnership tecnologiche. Questo avvicina le imprese al territorio del Nord Est.

VeniSIA intende instaurare un dialogo privilegiato con Canova e Nova 1 per offrire strumenti finanziari adeguati alle startup selezionate. Verranno definiti criteri rigorosi per garantire che il supporto finanziario sia mirato e favorisca il successo delle aziende coinvolte.

Questo accordo di venture partnership rappresenta una sinergia tra due attori chiave nell’innovazione e nell’impresa emergente. Canova e VeniSIA guardano con fiducia alla collaborazione e all’impatto positivo che potranno generare nel mondo delle startup e della tecnologia.

After obtaining theauthorization, received at the beginning of June, Canova SGR announces theestablishment of the new Venture Capital fund named Nova 1. L’obiettivo è quello di sostenere l’innovazione e promuovere lo sviluppo dell’ecosistema delle start-up italiane.

Nova I fund was designed with a specific focus to invest in predominantly Italian companies at an early stage. Investment operations include seed rounds, Serie A and, residually, Serie B, for indicative rounds of between EUR 500,000 and EUR 3 million. "We recognise the current value of innovation and believe in the potential of entrepreneurial ideas that are just beginning their journey to market. With Nova 1, we aim to provide these young companies with the financial support, expertise and network they need to meet their initial challenges and grow towards success." comments Alessandro Bruscagin, Managing Director of Canova SGR.

Canova is therefore in the midst of fundraising with a first closing set at EUR 30 million and a target target for the fund of EUR 45 million. At the same time, the Nova 1 investment team is working on several fronts in order to identify the first potential investments and to further consolidate the network of partners and contacts.

Nova I team believes strongly in the founders friendly approach with a view to building a collaborative relationship with the founders and entrepreneurs of the investee companies. The idea is based on providing long-term support, networking and mentorship for the team's skills, transparency and communication. This line of thinking is aimed at facilitating the growth and success of investee start-ups.

A further distinguishing feature of Nova 1 is its classification under Article 8 of the SFDR.
