Canova SGR is born, a new Veneto-based asset management company

Canova SGR Spa, a Veneto-based asset management company based in Villorba, was founded with the aim of combining global finance and territorial entrepreneurship while preserving the values and uniqueness characteristic of the ecosystem and the people that make it up. The company that obtained theauthorization by the Bank of Italy to carry out asset management activities stems from an initiative by Alessandro Bruscagin.

The first initiative Canova intends to launch is a venture capital fund, named Nova I, dedicated to investments in start-ups, mainly Italian, with high growth potential.

Nova I aims to create a solid network of investors, partners and innovation players and to build a diversified investment portfolio of technology companies that have developed software or hardware solutions applied to traditional sectors.

The company would like to thank the K&L Gates Asset Management and Investment Funds team for its assistance in the preparation of application documents and in discussions with the Bank of Italy and Consob throughout the authorisation process.

The company's CEO, Dr. Alessandro Bruscagin says: "We are happy to announce that we have been authorised to operate as an SGR and to share some details of our venture capital project. We believe that the start-up sector in Italy is growing rapidly and that there is a large number of innovative companies that can benefit from our support. This is precisely why venture capital and start-ups are the first project in Canova's pipeline."
